There is Beauty in the World

All I want to do is float around in beautiful turquoise waters and melt into warm pink sand. And when I can't, it drives me to eat and drink. Food and wine are wonderful things. But life at the beach is better. This blog is about my favourite things: travel, food & wine. I wish I was made of money so I could have more of my favourite things.

  • DRIFTWOOD AND SEAGLASS ART GALLERY, Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera.  Located on a quiet side street, next to the Governor’s Harbour Bakery, is a quaint little gem of a gallery. Enter through the white picket gates, manoeuvre through a cute little garden where roosters roam, and into a welcoming entrance to the store.  Marti Fernander and D. Allen are the artists that showcase their artwork made from found beach treasures, such as driftwood, sea glass, and shells.  Originally from California, Marti has travelled the world, but calls the stunning island of Eleuthera her home.  I had the pleasure of meeting this fine artist, who is inspired by the beauty that surrounds her everyday.  These gorgeous one-of-a-kind works of art start at only $5.  This lovely gallery is truly worth seeking out.
